New York – an Instagram Diary: Part 3

Bird’s eye view, Banksy and a bunch of idiots – finally, here is the third part of my New York Instagram diary from my weekend trip last March. Let’s go!

This is it, the best view you can have over Manhattan. From Top of the Rock, which is the Observation Deck of the historic Rockefeller Center, you have an amazing view to the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Times Square, the Central Park and the all-new One World Trade Center.

And, if you are lucky and up here on a clear day, you can even see the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor. This is a good place to hang around, wait for the sunset and make stupid selfies with the skyline in the back.

As I already told you in part 1 of this New York City post series, Brooklyn is streetartist’s playground. And hipster’s. And wannabe hipster’s. And the one of all other freaks on this planet.
Some of them must have lost their shoes. What a sad sad thing.

In Brooklyn, streetart means much more than using a spray can. It’s a lot of fun to walk around for hours and discover great artworks. Keep your eyes open and you’ll find real Banksys or Invaders without opening your browser.

My favorite building of NYC is actually even one of the oldest skyscrapers in the United States: the Woolworth Building. Completed in 1913, it’s still one of the monuments that’s worth to look at in this city of awesomeness. I could sit on a park bench in front of this building for hours.

Just another photo of just another square with a bunch of idiots on it. Ok now, seriously, in case you want to hang out with weird people or make a photo essay about the different variations of tourists, Times Square is the right place. Here, you will never be sure, if you should laugh or cry or simply never stop shaking your head.

See. That’s what I told you…
