The nature park and glacier Kaunertal is one of the most tranquil holiday destinations in Austria. The north-south running valley in the Ötztal Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol surprised me during my visit last winter especially with one thing: an incredible separatingness and peace.

Dear Innsbruck Airport, it just happened. I’m only one of many on your runway, but for me you are very special. Small airport, big emotions. And they came to stay.
Seriously, how can an international airport like you be so incredibly cute? Yes, international! That still knocks my socks off, so modest, almost shy you lie there in the Höttinger Au.
Shy, but well attended. So I’m probably not the only one who could end up with you… too bad! Say, may I please say INN to you?
„We love Sölden“ Three words that still cause bad feelings for many local residents of this picturesque municipality in the southern part of the Ötztal valley of Tyrol, Austria. Actually this statement was once well meant. Then last year the German private broadcaster Pro7 came to this idyllic area with a bunch of partying teenagers that painted the town red.
At least since then Sölden has the reputation of being a huge party-region. It really is. But that’s not the point at all, because in addition to a wide range of après-ski venues, the region offers plenty of other reasons to learn to love Sölden.

Five days of skiing on five glaciers in Tyrol in Austria. Sounds pretty exhausting and that’s exactly how it is. Beside of being extremely beautiful, insightful and breathtaking. Last week I went to the beautiful Austrian region of Tyrol and came back with a slight sunburn, a jammed finger and lots of deep impressions which will continue to affect me for a long time to come.
