Nordic cuisine at its best: The BROR restaurant in Copenhagen
This past weekend I spent in Copenhagen. Although this was not my first visit to the Danish capital, I was once again surprised how special this city is. It’s idyllic, but also quite large and urban. It has very old parts, but also neighborhoods full of the most modern buildings. And then there are the Danes, which are sporty, chic and pretty in their very own style. And they like to dine well. So did I, in a restaurant called BROR.
For those looking for a more upscale, but not overly fancy restaurant in Copenhagen, I can now totally recommend this eatery in Skt Peder Stræde.
The two former sous chefs of the world’s best restaurant Noma (two Michelin stars) do a very good job there. The place has a young, modern and kind of robust charm and is only a few months old. The small crew serves simple Scandinavian dishes with a twist, using locally sourced ingredients complemented by organic wines that are excellent and great hospitality. Expect a delicate and relaxing evening.
