Anekdotique goes art

photo

Instagram is always good for a surprise: Selfies, for example, are photographed self-portraits using a mobile phone and are often combined with a duckface, which is a pejorative term for a facial expression made by pressing one’s lips together into the shape of a duck’s bill. The latest trend, however, is Seatbeltboobing. These are frontal shots of female torsos in the car with a properly fitted safety belt, so that it is trapped between the breasts of the woman.

It was just some weeks ago, that I started using this app and joined the photo-and video-sharing community. However, the most beautiful surprise came last week by instagram user CocoCaramel154

Apparently, she is a young, talented graphic artist, that has chosen a few of my photos and drawn a collage that I want to show you right here.

One can find many of my travel photos in it: The New York taxi sign, the “Yummy” sign from Beijing, the emergency tire from that sailing ship to the Whitsunday Islands, the sunflowers on the market in Aix-en-Provence and many many more. And last but not least the Anekdotique logo.

Dear CocoCaramel154, hereby your drawing receives a place of honour on my blog anekdotique.com
Thank you once again!

The original photo can be found here by the way: http://instagram.com/anekdotique
